Industry Information to help during the COVID-19 Pandemic
With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation progressing, it certainly makes for unsettling times. As we learn more each day, it allows us to establish a plan for moving forward. Safety as always is our primary goal. Our events calendar will be kept updated if other cancellations or postponements are made. The MAC-ISA staff is working remotely with the full capabilities of supporting our members.
The MAC-ISA Chapter area (Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and DC) is under individual mandates for only Essential Business to operate. Most tree care work is considered essential. Check your individual state and local governments for exact information for your area. A letter of support was emailed to all ISA members on 3/23/2020 with the joint statement from ISA and TCIA. You may read the statement here: Joint Statement of ISA and TCIA

Your ISA Credentials
ISA headquarters announced that all paper, in-person exams are cancelled through April 30, 2020 or whenever it is deemed safe to hold exams again. Pearson VUE testing centers offering computer-based exams have temporarily closed until April 16, 2020 or whenever it is deemed safe to reopen.
ISA has already extended the recertification periods for those credential holders set to renew within the next 30-60 days. They will continue to evaluate the impact on our credential holders as the timeline associated with this outbreak becomes clearer, and will work with you to ensure there is no negative impact on your ISA credentials due to the COVID-19 virus.
